You will be very much aware of our petiton – link Petition Link: https://www.change.org/p/sandwell-council-removal-of-unauth… which asks for the Chief Executives of both Sandwell & Walsall together with West Midlands Police to work with us to look at options, physical and procedural. Please do read our petition in full which together with paper copies had a total of 1351 signatories which was delivered to Sandwell Council for their Chief Executive to take a lead on. There is an opportunity for a pilot scheme here to look at high containment kerbs and natural planting and I am sure there are plenty of funding opportunities to do this. We have yet to receive confirmation of a date when our petition will be put before committee although the next date the committee is held is on Oct 5th. I will advise and update further. This is a matter that affects us all on the Yew Tree as well as the Delves and does need both Council to work with us the community to look at options. In the meantime I would be very happy to discuss our petition and also attend any meetings where the issue of the travellers may be an agenda item. Many thanks,
