PETITION Update - Committee date received from Sandwell Council

PETITION Update: I have been advised by Sandwell Council's Governance Services Lead,Democratic Services Unit, that the next Cabinet Petitions Committee is scheduled for 5th October and that we will be invited. They are yet to advise Officer who will be dealing with petition. I am grateful that they have now responded and given a date although it is frustrating that the Community Voice takes so long to be heard. It is very clear that this is a very important matter for us and it would be helpful if our MP's, Cllrs, Police and Council Officers acknowledged that and acted in a similar manner to respond and act. Will keep you updated further, in the meantime it may be worthwhile keeping the date in mind if anyone would like to accompany me in Council when the petition is put in front of Committee
