Betrayed, thrown away like trash, neglected and possibly abused
I am completely at a loss for words. Whoever had this little boy should be prosecuted and thrown away in jail. All I can say is that this sweet boy was badly neglected and possibly abused. When does the neglect end????
This absolutely beautiful, poor and innocent little boy this shelter named Zip was found wandering on the side of the road all alone. He was turned into the South LA Shelter, CA, the deadly shelter as a stray dog on 06/30/23- 10 DAYS ago. He was not microchipped and his pos and disgusting owners ( I don't even know if Zip had owners or he lived outside based on the way he looks) never came back for him. Zip is listed at approximately 5 years old, but he maybe older. I doubt this baby had ever seen a vet in his lifetime or ever was groomed.
Zip is listed as Major Medical and Orange Alerted and this shelter rescue coordinator sent a rescue plea because Zip has NO INTEREST AND NO COMMITMENT. Zip needs to exit the shelter ASAP. Orange Alerted animals at this shelter ALWAYS have a DEADLINE.
Just take a look at this baby's condition. It's heartbreaking. He came into the shelter infested with fleas with a heavily matted and dirty coat. Can you imagine how uncomfortable this little boy feels? I wouldn't be surprised if Zip lived his whole life outside. I don't know how these "people" live with themselves. SHAME ON THEM.
Zip has Major Medical issues. He has a large necrotic, ulcerated mass on his front leg attached to the underlying tissue which is dripping frank blood. How long does Zip have this mass if it's so large and necrotic? Zip will need major surgery to remove this large mass and the surgeon will need to send a sample cell or tissues for a biopsy to determine the presence or extent of a disease. He is underweight and has mild dental disease. He had dried blood around his muzzle and a tip fracture( I wonder what happened to him). Zip also has clumping on canthus medial and epiphora OU. According to the shelter, Zip is a very friendly boy.
Zip has been at this shelter for 10 days, but he has no other threads, which means Zip has ZERO medical pledges and no one even knew this little boy needed help, until now. Zip will need MAJOR MEDICAL PLEDGES , A LOCAL FOSTER AND A REPUTABLE RESCUE GROUP. Please help. Zip has no one but US.
ZIP- ID #A2092479 I am a neutered male, tan Mixed Breed. The shelter staff think I am about 5 years old. I weigh 17 pounds. Intake Date 06/30/23.
