Update Monday, March 2, 2020
Adopters have backed out at this time. We need adopters/fosters familiar with cattle dogs to house immediately.

Updated February 29, 2020
After my last update
on BUG the cattle dog in danger at Big Bear Lake Animal Pound, we have new developments happening because of people who have signed this petition.

1. We have an animal rescue willing to sponsor the rescue. This means an animal rescue in Tennessee who is registered with our animal pound has agreed to pull the dog out of the animal pound.

2. We have a financial sponsor who is willing to pay an animal transporter to drive BUG to Lake Tahoe where...

3. A Veterinarian in Lake Tahoe has agree to foster and work to find this Cattle Dog its forever home.

WHAT IS STILL NEEDED?
1) We need an Animal Puller. An Animal Puller is someone willing to represent an official animal rescue and PULL the dog out of the animal pound. If you know of someone who currently pulls animals at Big Bear Animal Pound, please text me at 213-948-3165.

2) We need an Animal Transporter who is willing to drive BUG to Lake Tahoe. We will need a transporter who is willing to sign an indemnity waiver. We do have a financial sponsor who is willing to cover the costs involved in transporting the dog.

This dog is not safe yet but as an organized no kill community, we save lives step by step because our own animal pound does not provide any assistance in helping these dogs and cats find safe homes. Our City Council has abandoned our animals and our community by leaving us to figure it out ourselves when we do not even have an official dog rescue group in Big Bear.

DOG RESCUE GROUP
I've researched starting a dog rescue here in Big Bear. We have not been able to local an insurance company who will even insure these endeavors. If you know of one, please text me at 213-948-3165. Big Bear City Council has set up our animal pound to fail when they know our community does not even have a dog rescue group to save the dogs labeled ANIMAL RESCUE GROUP ONLY CAN SAVE. We must align with animal lovers who want to serve on our City Council if we hope to go No Kill. If you are on the City Council or are thinking about running in the future, please contact me at 213-948-3165. We have 10,008 people who are ready to vote for you or to spend time making calls on your behalf.
