At 2:46 PM today, Monday, October 29th, 2018 Jonah was killed by staff at Big Bear Animal Care and Control in Big Bear Lake, CA. Please say a prayer the Big Bear Lake City Council does something to help our animals in Big Bear instead of surrendering 100% of animal control services to County Animal Control Services. Our animals deserve better.

I am a male, gray and white Pit Bull Terrier.
The shelter staff think I am about 2 years old.
I have been at the shelter since Oct 19, 2018.

He was given only 10 days at the shelter. The shelter is basically empty. Please spay/neuter your pets. Turn illegal breeders in to animal control. Do not buy animals you find on Facebook or websites. Bring your dogs and cats in from outside...it's cold. And for Jonah's sake, adopt dogs and cats from the shelter. To honor Jonah's life, you can also adopt a dog or cat from the shelter. If you are ever TURNED AWAY from the shelter, call me immediately BEFORE leaving the shelter at 213-948-3165. There is a team of us that have been collecting this type of information for years. We also need a few more documented stories of when Big Bear (who is managed by the Devore Shelter) has turned individuals away or have told you no dogs or cats were available when you clearly saw dogs and cats at the shelter.
