Robert Horse has never been employed before.  He has applied for job training at Metal Craft Industries which is located at the Jameson Annex, South Dakota State Penitentiary.  Inmates are eager to work and are taught a valuable skill; welding, and produce an excellent product. A position there will be beneficial by providing valuable job skills, practical experience and a strong work ethic that will benefit the community and dramatically reduce his chances of returning to prison once released. His employment will also be a positive example to other inmates, encouraging them to apply and obtain job training as part of the rehabilitation process while incarcerated. Work experience will assist inmates in looking forward to becoming productive members of their communities when released.
