Hello everybody! Once again I want to say thank you so much for the support everyone has given us from all across the world, proving just what a wonder Sir Terry and his work really is. On Monday the 8th of Feb the local Salisbury City Council will be having a public meeting to discuss a variety of subjects, one of which will be the statue proposal we submitted. We're hoping to gain permission for the project to go ahead, and to decide on a location so that we can continue refining the design with Paul Kidby and move on to creating and fundraising for the final piece. We've had a huge boost in support over the last few days, including some words from Neil Gaiman on both Facebook and Twitter. "He would have said something a bit sarcastic about it, and have been secretly very pleased. And then he would have discovered that you can hide something inside a statue, and confided in all his friends that in a few hundred years people would be in for a surprise... I hope the statue gets made." We're well on the way to 6000 signatures now, and every single one, along with your wonderful words of support, will help convince the Council that this is a worthwhile project. I'll post and update with the results of the meeting as soon as I can on Monday night. Until then, mind how you go!
