You might have seen a viral video of an Indonesian influencer swam and being pulled by dolphins. Because of this event, the seven dolphins are being moved temporarily from the Dolphin Lodge Bali (DLB) owned by PT Piayu Samudra Bali to Bali Exotic.

Sadly, this temporary location is… worse. 

Instead of releasing them back to the sea, the dolphins are being moved to a pool.  

The Bali Exotic pool can also only fit 10 dolphins. Currently there are 5 dolphins already. Added to them another 7, we’re sure it will not fit. 

Then, they said after the DLB is done administering their due license since April 2020, the dolphins will be put back there. 

The same place where we found the influencer swam, cruelly being pulled by the dolphins. DLB did not have their needed license, and they let this happen. They shouldn’t be given another permit to take care of these dolphins!

DLB should be responsible for preparing the dolphins so they can swim back to the sea, overseen by related institutions. Whereas currently, instead of given a punishment, they are able to re-administer their license!

Hence, through this petition, we are demanding the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, also the Ministry of Environment and Forestry to revoke the license of DLB as a dolphin conservatory. We also expect them to ensure the 7 dolphins can safely and freely swim back to the sea.
