"As La Jolla’s Village continues to be spray-painted with hearts on public spaces, a message of a different kind has been painted recently on at least three streets in Bird Rock: “Slow down.”

It isn’t yet known who painted the message or how many have been out there.

The La Jolla Light found one this week on Bird Rock Avenue near Waverly Avenue and later saw two more in other locations. The words are spray-painted on the road and therefore the city of San Diego would have the job of removing them."
