I am trying so desperately hard to keep my husband out of Longterm Care.  I am exhausted caregiving on my own.  If we had respite and I could recharging my batteries, I can better look after him and keep him at home until the good Lord takes one or both of us to heaven.�⛪

Everyone who has had a relative or friend with a debilitating illness will appreciate how daunting a task it is to be taking care of someone else and working and taking on tasks you have never dealt with before.  How your patience runs thin at times and small things seem to be magnified as you get overwhelmed with all that running a home alone and caregiving entails.

We are thrown into an unknown area of 'expertise' and are untrained to handle many of the situations that arise.  However, out of love and loyalty, we do the best we can for our loved ones... But it does take a toll on our mental, emotional, spiritual, psychological and physical health.  

We need a break, WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR RESPITE.  WE ARE SAVING FEDERAL AND PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENTS TWENTY FOUR BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR. 

WE UNPAID CAREGIVERS  are already struggling to keep working at our jobs as well as caregiving for our loved ones...
