News update on former B&Q site at A10 Colosseum Car Park (Former B&Q).
Spoken with the Managing Agents of the car park today (Thursday 05/23) about the security measures.
As background; posted at the weekend the blocks installation was given the sign off to go ahead - when the one outstanding leaseholder provided a legal letter to the car park managing agents to give permission. This took a huge amount of behind the scenes work.
What I can update today is - as you may have seen there are now concrete blocks in place. However since then additional incidents have taken place. And more concrete blocks will be installed later in the week / next week to combat this. The site managers are keen to address preventing the dangerous driving that has been taking place - whilst providing retail customers parking provision.
I did ask about the site been closed in the early hours - but this is not possible due to one of the businesses operating on certain days 24/7.
This is another good step forward ahead of the Public Meeting on Monday evening.
