If Sacramento Raceway were to shut down, street tacing would be greatly encouraged and increased in our area. Instead of driving the 2-3 hour drive to the next closest track, people are just going to get on the street and race. People are also going to lose their only means of income. Sacramento already has enough strip malls and houses, but only one drag racing track. I race at this track personally and if it were to shut down, I would have no where else to go. Thanks to there Wensday night drag races, I get to race and have fun for a pretty low price. Basically, if Sac raceway closed, hundreds of people would have no where else to go but the streets.
