Hello All
On the eve of the public inquiry, celebrities and high-powered dignitaries have come out fighting against Rockwell's tower.
In a super rare public intervention, Rolling Stones legend Sir Mick Jagger has spoken out in comments exclusively given to his local online newspaper, The Chelsea Citizen.
Actress Felicity Kendal has also stepped in to oppose the plan, as has Ben Coleman MP.
The Citizen also has a belting and wide-ranging interview with Councillor Tony Belton, the chairman of Wandsworth Council's planning applications committee - the very group that unanimously rejected the development a year ago.
In the interview, Belton lays out his opposition to Rockwell's plans and slams the "arrogant" way in which the company has acted throughout the entire planning process. He also demands that - if Rockwell loses the appeal - it pays the council's half million pounds in costs that it has had to incur to defend their decision. "That money can be put to better use and go to people who really need it, rather than on this crazy process", Belton said.
