Some Breaking News:

Wandsworth Council has today released a report stating that it recommends its Planning Applications Committee REFUSE the One Battersea Bridge tower.

This is indeed good news.

It should be stressed, however, that this is not necessarily a slam dunk. It will still need to be voted on next week by the venerable committee - the one that only a few weeks ago waived through the high-rise Wandsworth Gas Works development, despite great opposition. And, then of course, there is the obvious prospect of Rockwell appealing to the Mayor of London and, and, and... but I will not drag anyone down right now with what may or may not lay ahead. 

Stay with this. Keep filing Objections to the portal here. Get your friends to step up.

And please keep the signatures coming. This petition will be presented to the committee and the ward councillors in the next few days. If it is not past the nice, neat number of 5,000 by then, I will be very grumpy! (currently at 4,954)
