Thank you for contacting the STM.

 

With the arrival of major public transit projects, the Société de transport de Montréal (STM)

has undertaken an overhaul of the entire bus network. This overhaul is intended to be a

collaborative process to gather residents' mobility needs and their ideas on bus routes in

their area to promote sustainable mobility.

 

The new bus service was developed following public consultations held in autumn 2020,

in which all residents were invited to participate. The service was based on an analysis of

travel data and the needs expressed during the various consultations, all in collaboration

with the boroughs.

 

The overhaul led to the abolition of some existing bus routes, but others were extended

and created, offering residents alternative ways of getting around. It is important to STM

that customers have good access to the bus network.

 

Following the implementation of these various modifications, the STM will keep a close

eye on evolving needs, to quickly make adjustments where necessary and possible.

Rest assured that we are aware that these changes will require some adaptation on the

part of our customers.
