It's been a busy couple of months for us at the Friends of Melnea Cass Boulevard. The good news first! Thanks to your support (and of over 12,000 others!), the City of Boston has agreed to pause the reconstruction project and reevaluate their design. We're awaiting to hear back from them about a next meeting where they'll share their ideas. They've promised a transparent and community-centered process.

Meanwhile, we continue to advocate and outreach Can you support our work and help us help us get the word out? There are 3 ways you can help:

1) We're holding a Community Stand In on October 24th from 1-3pm along MCB. Please join us! We'll be meeting at 90 Winsor Street. Can't join? Please ReTweet our Tweet about the event.

2) You can continue amplifying our message: email, call and share our work. We've made it easy for you with a Google Doc that lists a series of actions you can take, including phone numbers, emails, and a link to the petition.

3) Our partners at Speak for the Trees, Boston, has created a fundraising platform for our shared work together. Please consider a donation at https://donorbox.org/save-melneas-trees. You can also sign up for their newsletter to stay on top of their tree work in Boston.
