23rd of AUG 2016 — Well as one can see we still wait on the government to reply to the government petition, which is reached well over 10,000 and sits at 10,393. The government petition is now closed but we still have the Change.Org open, for those who feel they would like to,continue to support our family. We have also had some people accuse us of misleading, "You" the public and made some direct appeals to the, "GoFundMe" team in undertaking a full investigation of our request for help, which I have done today. The accusation is we are miss using the funds for personal gain, which I have expressed is a direct attack on my integrity and that of my family. I am Irene Nel's son in law and been married to her Daughter Desree Taylor for 28 years this October. I met Desree when she was 13 and I was 16 when I returned from England in 1979, so been known to Irene for 35 years, so this is my brief on who I am and how I am part of this appeal, as clearly others have questioned my relationship with Irene Nel. We are asking for help to fund further legal costs in allowing us to fight the current process, where we ask for compassion in taking care of our mother. This entails legal fees, doctors assessments to name a few and I would like to update you the public on what has todate been spent on our fight to keep our loving caring mother in the UK with family who live and can care for her in her time need. Todate we have received £6,447 in donations and spent the following, for which we are very great full for: (1) £1,500 on engagment costs for our legal team (2) £1,500 on further legal costs (3) £1,000 on doctors report, which is key in moving forward (4) £100 on postage to record deliver private documentation (5) £2,250 on an unpaid legal invoice Total £6,350 This leaves a credit of £97. If required I have confirmed with the GoFundMe team that all invoices can be issued and I have an open book policy for anybody to audit us on where their money has gone. Please rest assured ALL donations will be used in fighting our case and if we get surplus after winning our case it will be donated to charity, as per the GoFundMe account statement. If you have any doubt on the expenses please ask and I am willing to share an open book policy, as this is YOUR donated money. As it stands today we have been waiting 33 days since we reached the agreed numbers for a reply. We can only pray it is taking its time, as it is in the hands of those people who can show compassion to our family and allow us to meet our social responsibility in taking care of our frail mother in her time of need. We have printed off all the signatures and comments and have them ready in book form to hand over to the Home Office, when advised to do so by our legal team. Our local MP Charlotte Lesley has sent a direct appeal to Amber Rudd the new Home Secretary highlighting our plea and that we have gathered great support with over 103,000 signatures and again we will wait for the response, which will add further clarity in moving forward. Please continue to support us and if this goes down the road of further legal action then financial support will be key, as we have £97 left in the fund, so please if you feel led to do so visit the GoFundMe account and donate as little as £1, as every £1 will help us get this sorted and again any surplus funds will be donated to charity on conclusion of our fight. Www.gofundme.com/289kq Visit our mothers Face Book page and like it, as well as forward to family and friends for more support Http://www.facebook.com/saveirenenel/ Continue to send letters to your local MP's and again send one directly to the new Secretary of State, "Amber Rudd" Amber.rudd.mp@parliament.uk We appreciate your continued support and we as a family cannot rest until we are given the right from the government to take care of our loving and caring mother, granny and friend to many. We are a family of high values and integrity. Your hard earned donations will only go towards fighting the Home Office in allowing us to take care of our mother. Regards Derek, Desree, Irene and family
