Petition updateThe government to put aside immigration law and use compassion for a dying motherReady to hand in our petition

Derek TaylorBristol, ENG, United Kingdom
Jul 28, 2016
Before I start the update I would again on behalf of our mother like to say a BIG thank you to all 103,141 people who have signed our petition and left comments, which has encouraged the family and our mother in times we have felt there is no light at the end of the tunnel. The comments have been very supportive and encouraging as we fight for what should be every UK citizens right, which is simply to be able to look after our single parent in her great time of need.
Out of the 103,141 signatures over 102,000 were UK Citizens, allowing us to reach the required numbers for this petition to be debated in parliament. We had people from all parts of the world support us from England, Scotland, Ireland, Wales, South Africa, Hong Kong, Philipines, USA, Europe, Asia, New Zealand and down under Australia and words cannot express our families gratitude for ALL your support.
We are now seeking legal advise in taking our petition to 10 Downing Street and with the help of Jan Doerfel (our legal representative) and Kajal Odedra (Change.Org representative) will be in a position to do this in the month of August 2016.
My task now is to print off the 2,755 pages of UK signatures, which includes name, address and postal code, as well as over 756 pages of comments in supporting the family.
Jan Doerfel will do a cover letter and we will engage with Kajal Odedra, who has agreed to arrange the meeting in London.
Both ITV and BBC have agreed to do a story on the hand over and then it is a waiting game in hope the new Secretary of State, "Amber Rudd" will have a compassion we require and as a mother herself will understand the pain and suffering our family have been through for the last 4.5 years.
Please if you are 1 of the 20 supporters who signed our petition and live in the Hastings & Rye area please send her a direct plea with your concerns in allowing her government to show compassion to our mother, as your local PM to her direct government email address, which is:
Amber.rudd.mp@parliament.uk
If anybody else feels they would like to do this that would be great, as the more people who support our case by directly engaging with those people who can make a difference the more pressure we as a group will place upon the decision makers.
Visit her Face Book page "Amber Rudd" and leave a comment in support for our mother Irene Nel, as every little positive comment left will strengthen our cry for help.
Please continue to support us, as we try and get across the finish line. Forward to family and friends in allowing them to sign the petitions or help by donating as little as £1 for us to take legal action in trying to force the government to show compassion to our case.

Send a personal request to Amber Rudd And your local MP, as these are the people who can make a difference in our case
Please this is getting to be our last move in getting this resolved, as all final travel documents have now been signed and we can get the request to send our mother back any time, with only 3 days notice and if the petition fails to get a positive output our only way forward is High Court, which will cost over £20,000 plus
Again thanks for your support and I will keep you ALL posted on the date and time we intend to take this to number 10 Downing Street.
Regards
Derek, Desree, Irene and Family
