There will be a gathering with fellow supporters of this cause, and the local residents of Grimston at the site on this coming Sunday 16th August 2015.
**PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A PROTEST**
If you would like to come along and show your support, the itinerary is as follows:-
The final route and times for the gathering this Sunday 16th August are now finalised after liaising with the rural events police team. Due to the expected numbers, and for reasons of public safety to make sure the day runs as smoothly and as safely as possible, please share this itinerary for all attending on Sunday.
12.30pm - Car parking area opens - the location for your sat nav is: Back Lane, Garton, HU11 4QD. There will also be signs to guide you towards the car park. Once you have parked up or dropped off here, please make your way over to the EVENTS FIELD which is next to the car park.
1.20pm - Speakers will outline some health and safety information pre walk, to make sure the rest of the day goes as smoothly and safely as possible.
1.30pm - We will set off on the walk from the EVENTS FIELD heading towards Grimston. The walk will take approximately 25 minutes during which we will join the Giant Beagle mid way to complete the rest of the walk and finish at B&K Universal, in Grimston, at 2pm.
We will be holding a ONE MINUTE silence followed by refreshments and photos.
3.00 - We will leave B&K Universal and head back towards the Garton EVENTS FIELD.
3.30 - Spokespeople for the local residents, the campaign group Oppose B&K Universal and others TBC, will be outlining the strategy plan for the way forward.
4.30 FINISH
PLEASE NOTE: Comfortable foot wear is advised.There are NO facilities in the area, e.g. no shops, no pubs and no toilets. Please consider this before you arrive.
FOOD/DRINK: Please bring your own, although there will be light refreshments in Grimston, e.g. tea, coffee and cakes.
DOGS: For those attending with dogs, please bring water and bowls and also don't forget the poo bags!!!
SEATING: There are no seats in Garton or Grimston. Please bring your own portable chair etc if you need to sit.
FINAL NOTE: We are all here for the same reason, this is a peaceful event, please respect this. The local residents have gone to a lot of effort catering for this event, and the police have been very cooperative in facilitating it. This is a small hamlet in a rural setting, NO MEGAPHONES please.
