Keep Fox hunting banned!

Keep Fox hunting banned!

The Issue

In 2004 the 'Hunting Act' was put in place to prevent people from hunting wild animals with Hounds. The main 'pest' being Foxes.

Recently, rumblings seem to be stirring from certain areas of government that suggest a lift, lighten or watering down of these laws. Andrea Leadsom is one such person responsible for the re-opening of this upper-class wound.

How, in this day and age, can this be allowed to happen. Changes are made for the better so that animals and natural environments have some protection in there ever shrinking world.

Fox hunting was/is known as an 'upper class hobby' and it is for this reason and this reason alone that murmurings of removing the ban have surfaced.

We cannot allow progress towards better animal welfare to be slowed or reversed. Yes the law maybe flawed or badly enforced but it is steps in the right direction, to simply reverse the changes that have been made is wrong and damaging.

We must challenge these quiet murmurs and silence them before it becomes an issue that has been slowly but surely twisted and manipulated to find a 'logical reason' to undo this law.

I urge the Prime minister to promise that NO change on the 'Hunting Act' will be made unless it is one of progression towards better animal welfare.

Please, let's make our voices heard!

Thank you
