We need a Women's Equality Day.

As part of the celebrations marking 100 years of votes for women, girls from Willingdon Community School in Eastbourne have proposed a Bank Holiday dedicated to women’s rights and are now working with their MP, and others, to have the Spring Bank Holiday renamed as Women’s Equality Day Bank Holiday.

The only Bank Holiday shared by all the nations of the United Kingdom is the Spring Bank Holiday. Layla Moran, MP for Oxford West and Abingdon, is jointly leading this campaign with Stephen Lloyd, MP for Eastbourne and Willingdon to rename the Spring Bank Holiday as Women’s Equality Day
