A change in mood

Good evening Since I began this petition 2 years ago I feel a palpable change in our mood as a nation towards the organ donation system. And the fact our newest PM Theresa May has announced a consultation into introducing the Opt Out system in England before the end of this year is brilliant news! I know this doesn’t necessarily mean we will move to the system just yet but the fact this is even being considered shows how politicians are hearing our voices and this your signatures really are making a difference. I apologise I haven’t been in touch for a while - I’m very well I have just been slightly preoccupied with things like moving house..people always said it was stressful now I see why, but it’s all good I’m settled in and enjoying life :) I also wanted to see what would happen after the election in June. It’s so reassuring to see the campaign is growing in support however gradually. We aren’t the only petition for this cause and I think the government are realising this! As you probably know currently 40% of families say “No” to donating their loved ones organs and this isn’t necessarily because they’re against donation, it’s just and they didn’t know what they wanted. Therefore if you haven’t already told your relatives your wishes do so today, this means if the situation ever arises where they’re faced with that decision knowing what you wanted could make a very difficult decision slightly easier.
