When you're no longer the student

Today can I was delighted to speak at my old secondary school again about Organ & Tissue donation along with the lovely Annie from NHSBT. I felt slightly umderqualified to speak after Annie's very engaging talk about blood donation. I was pleasantly surprised the year 11s not only listened intently (without falling asleep - it is Friday after all) but also asked some intelligent questions. I think a fair few of them will be discussing their wishes with their family, and signing up to the current register this weekend if they aren't already. It's exciting to know some of the next generation can make an informed decision about donation they're going to be the next wave of policy makers & changers!!
