Thank You

I apologise I haven't updated you for a while. But this doesn't by any means mean nothing has been happening. There has been lots going in behind the scenes. Supporters and myself have been spreading the word about the campaign and starting conversations about transplantation to raise awareness. This week has also been pretty momentous after almost 24 years I finally got to say thank you to the lady who decided to donate her child's heart & consequently saved my life in doing so. It was an incredibly humbling experience, perhaps it's a bit of an obvious observation but simply if she has said no to donation 23 years ago it's highly likely I would not be alive to write this today. She is an very rational, open-minded and caring lady. As she said her child had gone and didn't need their body, therefore by donating its created a little bit of good out of an awful situation. She remarked most of the current issues with donation are a lack of education and awareness - many people say "No" because they not only don't know what their loved one would be wanted but often don't fully understand what transplantation is. She's aware of this campaign & fully behind it. So please keep bringing this topic up in conversation as that raises awareness!
