How many transplants took place last year?

NHS Blood & Transplant calculate how many transplants have taken place from 1st April each year until the 31st of March the next. Therefore very recently the annual figures have been calculated. In the past year an Amazing 3,461 transplants took place which is brilliant! However on 31st March this year that still left a whopping 6436 people on the waiting list and many of them would have been waiting on 31st March 2015 and even 2014! Every day 3 people die waiting for a transplant - we need to close this gap and this system is our best option, especially with so few of the population being against Organ donation. Your amazing support means not only on our petition alone we have over 2600 signatures, but collectively between Samantha, Tracey and myself we now have Over 83,000 Signatures!!! I was speechless when I discovered this - this is only because of the support from yourselves, I cannot express my gratitude enough. Keep sharing and spreading the word - the end is in sight!
