Live Interview on BBC Radio Wiltshire

So it is the 7th and FINAL day of the UK National Transplant Awareness Week and boy has it been a busy week. On Thursday morning I was lucky enough to be invited to do a live radio interview on BBC Radio Wiltshire as part of an hour long feature they were doing for this week - the topic being focused on was the fact just because if under the current system you carry a Donor card doesn't mean you can't have your wishes to donate overruled by your family and is this right? I mentioned the petition, but the overriding message from ALL four interviewees was expressing your wishes to your family. If you'd like to listen the interview is just under 10 minutes long, you can listen from minute 15 onwards as the whole 45 minute session is fascinating: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0318q2w With it being National Transplant Awareness week I have also been encouraging people to even if they have signed this petition and are in favour of Organ donation but not signed up to the current system to do so to cover themselves in the interim as we wait for the change. I know this is double the trouble in the short term, but long term it will be very worthwhile. It takes just two minutes by either clicking the link below: https://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/register-to-donate/ Or calling: 0300 123 23 23. Thank you for taking the time to do this. And please keep sharing this petition do not forget how integral you are to its success we're so close to 2000 Signatures now! Yours Lucy Ryan
