Interview Aired on Spire FM

Just to let you know the pre-recorded interview I did with my local radio station (Spire FM) was aired as one of the main news stories on Friday and had a little feature slot. I should be receiving the clips of it at some point next week (unfortunately it is not a station you can iPlayer etc) but in the meantime if you'd like to see the article on their news page click the link below: http://www.spirefm.co.uk/news/local-news/1702111/south-wiltshire-transplant-patient-calls-for-changes-in-organ-donation/ As you might be aware of Papworth (where I now attend) was the first Hospital in Europe to carry out a Non-Beating heart transplant earlier this year and estimated this could lead to a fantastic 25% increase in the number of hearts available for transplant. After Harefield carried out another they predict it could be as much as a 30% increase. This is obviously brilliant news however imagine if the 63% off the UK population in favour of organ donation but not actually signed up to the register were automatically opted-in under the Opt-out system then there could be so many more possible transplants. http://www.papworthhospital.nhs.uk/latestnews/index.php?newsid=371 Thank you for all your support so far, you really are the key to the petitions success.
