Open the Parent Residency sooner for the sake of South African families

Given the discussions around fast tracking visas for farmers in Australia, I am hoping that this will lead to the New Zealand Government to see that the issue at hand is getting severe and fast in South Africa, A once beautiful country we all knew.  What if New Zealand has it in their heart to follow Australia and open up the parent visa category again, perhaps sooner than the decided date? If families could be reunified, it would make a huge difference.

Also perhaps look at allowing families in New Zealand to perhaps "sponsor" their last remaining family members stuck in South Africa , to help reunite families and keep them all safe.

We all live in fear daily of our families young or old in South Africa with the current situations especially with expropriating land without compensation. Rural Development and Land Reform Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane states "

"We cannot wait for Parliament," Nkoana-Mashabane said.

"If we need to expropriate your land, we are going to do that, because it is in the Constitution…"

Surely the New Zealand Government who states they are very family orientated can have it in their hearts to re assess the visa's and options to reunite families together again.

Soon it might be to late. If this petition helps or even if it doesn't help perhaps it will open the eyes of New Zealand that the crime in South Africa is something I wish they never have to experience like many of us have hence moving to a safer country like New Zealand.
