I want to change the law where it is against the law to run over or hit a cat and not stop to help for get checked for microchip. I have lost 3 cats now, due to been hit by a vehicle. Which as left myself and my family devastated. I am a big cat lover and believe there are many out there gone through the same thing and its heartbreaking. It's against the law to hit a dog and not stop. So why are cats different? So help me make a change. Share and spread the petition. It has resulted in many costs on vet Bill's and cremation costs of my poor babies that have sadly passed away. You are hearing more and more cases of cats been killed on the roads. It would help so many families to get some closure who see these cats as their own family to what actually happened and justice to their careless acts of not stopping when hit a cat. It doesn't take 10 minutes to make a call and get someone to check for microchip, least then they have chance of survival and owner isn't wondering where they are. It would mean the world to me to have many people support this. Stand up for cats and their lives, they are earths creatures too!! I have included picture of my cat I lost today from been hit by a car, she was found in my front garden as she had managed to drag her back legs back home, when taken to vets, xray showed that her pelvis had been knocked into her spine with 2 fractures, unfortunately she was too unstable to be able to go through surgery and they couldn't raise her temperature or pulse. So the hardest decision I have ever had to make was to let her go. Vets said she would have been in extreme agony. Breaks my heart that she was just left there, I just glad she managed to get herself home to be found so i got to have at least few more last moments with her.
