This proposed move is Ridiculous. Why move Hampton DO to Ashford when there are other offices closer that could go in there. This is nothing more than a land grab for profit with no thought for the staff or the customers. The Staff are 100% against this. The Office is not 'too small' that's complete rubbish. There are far more cramped offices locally.  Moving the delivery office will not only impact the lives of the staff but the residents of Hampton and Hampton Hill, They will get later deliveries and have to go to Ashford to collect items of mail not delivered. There is an environmental cost too, with 12 current trolley rounds being put into vans. This would mean 11 vans coming to Hampton from Ashford on a daily basis. Finally there is the problem of very limited public transport for both staff and customers to get all the way over to Ashford Delivery Office.
