Royal Mail confirms move of local Hampton delivery office to Ashford

Hi everyone, I'd like to begin by saying thank you to all of you who have signed this petition and spread the word around the community to really rally behind this cause, it truely has been fantastic to see and be a part of. I'd also like to give a special shout out to local councillor Gareth Roberts who has done a brilliant job voicing the concerns of residents to the powers that be, and spreading the word of the campaign on the streets! However having said that, sadly Royal Mail have announced today that after considering staff and local resident's feedback, they will be going ahead with the move to Ashford, which will take place in March 2019. They have also said that retaining a local mail collection facility at Hampton will not be possible due to there not being a suitable location.
