Royal  Mail are rumoured to be closing Trimdon Station Sorting Office, this is a bad situation at anytime but in the middle of a pandemic it is crazy.  This could mean local people travelling miles to collect and return parcels including prescriptions. This is not an affluent area, not everyone has a car, the bus service can be costly, this is a much needed asset in the area and currently provides 5 jobs, should this lead to the closure of the main post office this could create even more problems for the local community!  We would like everyone to sign this petition to show Royal Mail the strength of feeling in the community.  If you friends or family who don’t have online access there will be paper copies of the petition available to sign in local businesses and community venues to sign.
