"Today I have to share the worst news a parent can ever face."
Her dad wrote these words one week ago.
Tony Perkins-Bowler's darling daughter Meaghan Bowler was gone - murdered by her husband in Florida, USA, on April 9.
Jesse Jones is charged over her death.
Meaghan is the 22nd Australian woman lost to violence this year. Last year we lost 79 women to violence - the year before 106 women were killed.
The 32-year-old came from Terrigal, NSW.
"She was deeply loved by all of us and brought so much to our lives," Tony wrote in a statement shared on social media.
"Losing her has left a hole in our family that can never be filled.
"We are grieving and trying to take this one moment at a time."
