An RCB Fan started this petition to Royal Challengers Bangalore and

For eleven seasons now, the 'die-hard' fans of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, a team that has hosted a galaxy of superstars have lived and been through a set of swinging emotions.

Chris Gayle's massive sixes have dented the stadium's roofs. Virat Kohli's pristine drives have resonated all through the stadium while AB de Villiers' game-changing batsmanship has led to him earning the tag of one of Bengaluru's 'favorite sons'.

Yet, right from the first season and at the present moment, the Royal Challengers Bangalore trophy cabinet is filled with only three second-place trophies and misses a 'championship' trophy.

Just as 2019 lays a path for yet another thrilling IPL season, the sport-loving crowd at Bengaluru has a reason to celebrate as far from the sport of cricket, a Bengaluru-based franchise, the 'Bengaluru Bulls' have lifted an elusive Pro Kabaddi League title, after a title drought of six years.

However, the story does not lie only in the field of sport. The name 'Bangalore', coined when the city was first formed was also changed to 'Bengaluru' many years back.

Almost in the middle of the city, a couple of steps away from the iconic Vidhan Soudha lies a sign that reads 'I <3 Bengaluru', sending out clear signs that the name is changed from Bangalore to Bengaluru.

With Bengaluru FC also doing splendidly well and the Bengaluru Bulls winning a title after six years, the IPL 2019 could serve as a perfect opportunity for the well-rounded RCB team to clinch an elusive title.

However, what could be the algorithm to success? A name change, probably?

How about we see a name change from Royal Challengers Bangalore to 'Royal Challengers Bengaluru', in keeping up with the current affairs and also push for a reversal in fortunes?

One hope, one change that could probably bring the title home.
