the Canadian mint wants to change the image on the Canadian five dollar bill. they are looking for prominent or recognizable Canadian person to put on five dollar bill. we feel Terry Fox is that person.                                                                                       The name Terry Fox is known by every Canadian, from kindergarten children through to senior citizens. He is known as a Canadian champion or hero of bringing awareness to the importance of the fight of all Canadians to cancer awareness. His brave epic personal struggle of being a victim of cancer brought canadians together. We followed his journey with great enthusiasm and sorrow. Though his brave action brought the reaction of Canadians to the importance of supporting of not only Canadian but global research and development of cancer fighting drugs.                     Whether we know it or not we have all been affected by cancer. be it from a personal struggle of your own, or the loss of a loved one.Terry Fox is a celebrated Canadian champion of a great fight we as human beings share. Every year in every community of this great country of ours Canada, we honor him by hosting runs to again bring attention to the importance of donating time and money to the fight against cancer. this is why we think this great humble Canadian should be honored in this way that way every time we see the five dollar bill, we will remember his contribution to our great country.
