Re: Talc Kills Take Out The Talc Petition To The FDA

Dear Dr. Gottlieb,

Long before your current tenure as Commissioner of the USFDA, the foundation was laid for a horrendous betrayal of public trust to be perpetuated for generations to come. Sadly, it was the very officials specifically within the Policy and Regulations Department of the USFDA "Cosmetics" Division who failed us so radically. It was the solemn duty of these officials to define and set the high standards for health and safety that as American consumers we should enjoy and expect in our cosmetic and health care products. Instead, through the lobbying efforts spearheaded by Baby Powder industry giant and iconic All-American household symbol of comfort, softness, health, family and trust - Johnson and Johnson through the USFDA betrayed the sacred faith and trust of American men, women and our babies to keep Cosmetics from being Regulated. Johnson and Johnson and the USFDA both knew that the mineral "Talc" in their products would cause Endometrial Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, Mesothelioma and other Gynecological Cancers and diseases in women. 110,070 Gynecological Cancers will be diagnosed in 2018. Over 63,000 of these diagnoses will be for Endometrial Cancer. Over 32,000 of us will DIE from it in 2018.

This is why we are Petitioning the USFDA to Regulate "Cosmetics" and have Talc removed from Cosmetic Powder products.

We Pray you will take this seriously and follow through with our Petition request.

Please be the Food and Drug Commissioner that puts his foot down and stops this travesty from cascading down into any more future generations.

I want to see a Talc Trust Fund set up and financed by the guilty parties of the Talc Industry similar to the Asbestos Trust Fund, beginning immediately and especially for Endometrial Cancer, Ovarian Cancer, and Mesothelioma from Talc victims. Enough of this dancing around. You CAN help and make a huge difference in our lives before we're all dead from Talc.
