IMPEACH GOVERNOR RON DESANTIS - PLEASE ADD your name to this petition:

 

We, the people of Florida demand that Governor DeSantis be removed from office immediately for the many reasons due to gross incompetence, his failure to protect the people, withholding of public information on Florida COVID19 and his false statements to the people. Starting with the list of issues below, Governor DeSantis has repeatedly shown he is unfit and incapable of governing Florida:

1.       Early on when the information showed the danger of COVID19, failed to secure the state while the COVID 19 pandemic continued to rage.

2.       Kept open many beaches while COVID19, thus responsible for illness and death to the people of Florida and its visitors.

3.       Encouraged Spring Breakers to come to Florida, while Pandemic hit Florida helping to spread the COVID19 virus to other cities and countries.

4.       Did nothing to keep social distancing, allowing 250 people to congregate into March 2020.

5.       Allowed Churches to congregate as 'essential venues' while COVID19 was raging.

6.       Did not monitor deaths that were appearing in nursing homes.

7.       Kept information from the public of deaths at nursing homes.

8.       Has kept and continues to keep vital information on illness and deaths from the public against the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.

9.       Threatened law firms that filed for FOIAs on deaths with cancelling their state business.

10.   Denied nursing homes were in danger in the initial stages the COVID19 virus.

11.   Allowed cruise ships to continue boarding passengers while COVID19 was raging.

12.   Kept passengers from coming home or being quarantined at home or offshore thus exacerbating illnesses and death.

13.   Denied medical treatment at hospitals for those ill and dying on cruise ships.

14.   Has consistently given false or misleading information about the COVID19 response.

15.   Developed a task force that was political, keeping out the state's department of agriculture, small businesses, medical experts and democratic state senators.

16.   Continues to be unable to fix or implement unemployment for hundreds of thousands Floridians.

17.   Unable to gauge the amount of people who filed for unemployment.

18.   After 2 months of waiting, denied over hundred thousand Floridians unemployment benefits, while asking them to reapply.

19.   Continues to lie that Florida has tests for anyone who wants one.

20.   Was told for years that unemployment program system was broken, and did nothing to fix it.

21.   Continues to say that Florida has flattened the curve with little data to support such claims when current data shows the opposite.

22.   Plans to open the state without any data and while COVID19 is still contagious.

23.   Spent $40,000,000 on Hydroxychloroquine when there was no data to support the claim it works against COVID19.

24.   Has continued to maintain that unemployment level $275 a week, one of the lowest in the country, is inadequate for Floridians who have lost their jobs and businesses - even though over 90% of Floridians have yet to receive any money in over two months as of May 11, 2020.

25.   Has made no effort or had any discussion about increasing the unemployment rate while over $4 billion in the state's reserve from Scott's draconian unemployment initiative - which the people and the businesses of Florida paid into.

26.   Has continued to exhibit gross incompetence while continued lying to the public about his efforts.

27.   Opened up state while COVID19 is beginning to increase in Florida.
