GOOD NEWS + Police Commission Meeting Postponed

Good news to share. The police commission led by Joel Faxon and Dan Rosenthal have heard our voices. They've requested that road painting be put on hold for safety and budget review, and discuss installing formal guidelines on road improvement prioritization. Tens of thousands of tax dollars were ready to be spent on a list of very low-traffic roads. Newtown needs a logical and data-supported assessment of traffic flow, speed limits, and road markings (where appropriate) to become more strategic in public works project funding! The Police Commission Board meeting has been postponed until 9/12 @ 6:30 due to member availability.
