We the undersigned believe that the termination of Mr. Jacob Meiss' direction of Rome Free Academy Marching Band is completely unjustifiable and demand that he is granted full restoration of director for RFA Marching Band 2019-2020, effective immediately. Marching band is a very important activity in so many students lives and without it they would lose one of the things they love most. Mr. Meiss not only teaches you how to play and instrument or to spin a flag but he also teaches what it means to step up and be a leader and vital requirements to be part of a team that grows and learns from one another. Mr. Meiss has dedicated his life to the music department in so many ways. He has run many successful musicals, he is the director of an amazing show choir, and has lead his very own marching band to State Champions in Large School 3 Division. These accomplishments show nothing more than hard work and determination.
