Update September 2017: The books from Altomünster at the Diocesan Archives in Munich

Dear supporters of the petition, our communal efforts largely paid off: The books from Altomünster (at least large parts of the collection) are currently accessible at the Diocesan archives in Munich. Please read the report compiled by Corine Schleif, Michelle Urberg, and myself which is linked to this message. I want to thank all of you for your support! As you will notice in the report, the sitution of the art objects has not been resolved yet and scholars should continue to urge the diocese to find solutions that keep this unique collection together and make the objects available for research.
