Upcoming Village Board Meeting

There's an upcoming Village board meeting next Tuesday, September 16. I'm planning to submit a proposed ordinance that allows all current and future micromobility devices to be registered by speed and behavior instead of by device. 

This will allow easier enforcement and will automatically adapt to ever changing state and federal law.

Penned as the 5-10-15 Ordinance, it is requesting a speed limit of 5 mph on sidewalks, 10 mph on bike paths, and 15 mph on roadways and streets.

I'm hoping the village will agree to this and also promote this with neighboring villages to allow for a simpler and more unified ordinance so residents from neighboring areas can easily travel between towns.
