Update from Essex Police..

Having engaged with Essex Police on social media, they have informed me that 'Operation Buzzard' will imminently be rolled out across rural communities, including the Dengie. Essentially this means that they are planning to use police drones to track and film criminal/suspicious activity in areas which do not currently benefit from an acceptable level of Police presence. In my opinion, whilst this is a good complimentary element of policing, this does not help us in the prevention of crime, which is what we all want and need to achieve. This will only come with increased physical presence on the ground.
