Rodney Taylor has been Released from ICE Detention!

Indivisible Georgia CoalitionAtlanta, GA, United States

WHEN WE FIGHT, WE WIN!  On May 5, 2026 advocates and family members announced the release of Rodney Taylor from ICE detention, marking the end of a grueling 15-month battle for the Georgia resident’s health and freedom. “There were moments when I wasn't sure I would survive the neglect I faced in detention, but knowing there was a community outside those walls fighting for me kept me going,” said Rodney Taylor. “I am proof that when people organize and refuse to look away, we can win. I am home. I am free.”

Thanks to YOUR support of the RELEASE RODNEY TAYLOR petition, which amassed over 8,000 signatures, Rodney is now free. But the struggle isn't over.  Rodney's life was gutted during his 15 months in detention.  Please consider giving any amount -- large or small -- to help Rodney, his wife Mildred, and their 7 children recover their lives.  https://bit.ly/HelpRodneyRebuild

Rodney and Mildred are determined to carry on the fight against ICE's abusive treatment of detainees, especially those with medical conditions or disabilities.  Their lives are at risk every day because of medical neglect and unsanitary conditions at facilities like Stewart Detention Center.

Please continue to support Rodney and his family and remain engaged in the ongoing fight against systemic abuse in ICE facilities.
