It's important to me because I have always loved playing GTA 4 with the ability to chat with my friends on the XBox 360, it really helped me communicate with them more easier instead of having to resort to play directly on the Xbox just to be able to talk to them.

And not only that, but I love the way GFWL keeps bad communties and players away, and also pirates who try to play the game free.

When you think about it, what's wrong with GFWL? It literally does nothing bad and it helps the community out a little (although there are people saying gfwl sucks because bugs and errors, but that's mostly because they don't know how to install the game correctly) although I do admit one faulty reason with GFWL is that you can't really save without internet connection, but that's just 1 literal reason, and when are you not connected to internet?
