On top of all the negatives regarding the 'Green Route' selected by Government we need to come back to the fundamental question...

'Why is the Richmond Duplicate Bridge Project not Flood Resilient?'.

The failure of all levels of government to provide the Hawkesbury's growing communities with flood-free road infrastructure is not acceptable.

The river isolates the communities of North Richmond, Kurrajong, Kurmond, Redbank, Grose Vale and Grose Wold from hospitals and even food supply during just moderate floods. 

Hawkesbury residents need a road and bridge network which is genuinely flood free and meets the traffic needs of the growing Hawkesbury communities.
