Shib is up 5% as I wrtie this, the tail end of a more than 60% rally in 2023.  The big buzz?  Our beloved canine themed token is one of the best performers so far this year, proving once again, as if the world needed it, that Shib is an enduring favorite in the crypto world, more than just a meme.  

2023 may be a banner year for Shib, although much of this volume is due to excitement and anticipation about the much touted layer-2 network Shibarium launch.  The developers have promised a beta launch, and it may be mere days from now that we’ll see it.
