Reinstate the crew of the Whitby RNLI lifeboat

The RNLI has dismissed two volunteer members of the Whitby Lifeboat. Their crime was to give each other secret Santa gifts which were mugs which had an image of a woman sitting on the floor naked. The woman's head was replaced with a picture of the crew members. Nothing was on show, in fact, the pose is one that is used in television adverts for soap adverts before the watershed. The issue is totally disproportionate with the action taken by RNLI management. This issue is now causing the Royal National Lifeboat Institution great harm, at a time when charities are under scrutiny for their actions. We, therefore, call for the reinstatement of the crew members affected, including those who quit in response and an apology issued.
