Time to put My Sword Down.

Dear Supporters and everyone that loves Meacham Lake: My wife Kathy and I have given it our best starting from the end of June 2015 until now. We have worked with the Town Board of Duane, created a Facebook page, created an online petition, spend personal money on this project and I have gotten to know several new people that love Meacham as much as we do. We hand delivered the petition and all it's comments directly to the DEC Director responsible for this project only to be told "we are building the boat Launch and you are going to like it." Really are we going to like the fast boats, noise in the middle of the night and maybe a few people over using alcohol trying to maneuver their way out of the park on the skinny camp road. Something tells me NO we aren't going to like it. I just pray to GOD that nothing happens to my grand kids or anyone else kids, people swimming, bicycling, walking or paddling their kayaks in the lake. So folks it has come time for us to put our swords down. Thank you once again for your support. Dave & Kathy Meacham
