We've been waiting for quite awhile.

I know we closed this petition and "claimed victory" some time ago. There was a lot of response from supporters who felt like we were doing a good thing by setting down the cause at that time, and, there was a lot of response from supporters who were upset because it didn't feel like enough closure had been attained to call this cause a victory.

The truth is, it was all too heavy. And we had to set it down. We'd explored virtually every option we could find at our disposal to seek justice, and the best possible course of action for us at that time was to wait. So we set it down, and we waited.

And we waited.

And here we are now. 

It has always been an available option for us to re-open this petition, but we just didn't feel like there was any reason to utilize this option, until now.

Now, Robert Adrian has announced that he is planning to run for retention, and he sent a message to all the local news media outlets to inform them of his intent to make a formal announcement to commence his campaign - today, July 12, 2022.

Amidst an open complaint with the Illinois Judicial Inquiry Board that is heavily related to the case, this man made sure in his campaign announcement press release to let everyone know "he would be free to comment on the Drew S. Clinton case." And that hits us as rather uncouth and exploitative, honestly, that he would single out this case to use as click-bait for making sure he gets attention today. But we are really intrigued to know what Robert Adrian intends to say. Did he just include that statement to see what kind of a rise he could get - to provoke response? Is he going to publicly announce that he's sorry and he was wrong? 

We don't know. But we'll be out there at the Adams County Courthouse today at 5pm CST to hear what, if anything, Robert Adrian thinks is important for him to say about this case.

And we'll let you know when we find anything out about the Illinois Courts Commission scheduling a public hearing to address the Judicial Inquiry Board complaint. In the meantime,
