URGENT PETITION! Stop the unlawful deportation of Bridget back to Jamaica

0 have signed. Let’s get to 1,500!

It only takes a minute of your time to help a mother and a friend in need.  Please sign this petition and email Minister of state for Immigration, Robert Goodwill, and your local MP!

Bridget has been in the UK for 17 years ,but she is facing deportation from a country she now calls home.  We are writing to express serious concern about the deportation of Bridget Ross. The application for permission to bring judicial review proceedings in the case of Bridget Ross has been sent for oral hearing  at Upper Tribunal Immigration and Asylum Chamber.

Bridget has been an integral part of our community and the Risen Christ church for over 10 years, serving the local community in Chingford with the voluntary work that she undertakes at the local church.

Bridget has no family in Jamaica so we need to make you aware of the fact. Bridget has a son who is her only child and who has permanent residency in the UK and has been a resident in this country for most of his life.

Bridget is a human being, who has a right to family life under article 8 of the Human Rights Act. Can you imagine the fear, worry and panic of Bridget in such stressful and uncertain circumstances. If Bridget is forced to leave the UK, the place where she calls home; she will arrive in Jamaica, homeless with no means to survive, isolated and separated from her only child, family and loved ones,

Bridget is a law abiding citizen, a christian of outstanding character and a valued member of her community willing and able to make a positive contribution to the United Kingdom and desperate to be given the opportunity to do so.

We are calling on the Minister of state for Immigration, Robert Goodwill to cancel Bridget’s removal, and permit her to remain in the United Kingdom during the processing of her application for indefinite leave to remain.

Deporting Bridget Ross is unacceptable and we want the decision overturned immediately! Tell your local MOP:
